Music makes me move, feel, think, cry.
My music tastes are very unique and I use mainly Spotify for listening. I have a different playlist for pretty much everything. One of the "catch-all" playlists is called Liked Songs. I have 1011 songs on this playlist.
This is it on random play: Top 10
Where are U now by Skrillex: I dont even know why this song is on here other than it has a good beat unless of course you have a migraine and then at that point, it would be just hell.
Tomboy by Miranda Lambert: this is a newer song I have added to my playlist. I like almost everything by her. I have a child or two who are "tomboys". I grew up building, playing climbing with the best of the boys, I have never worn make-up or dresses.
Hell by Squirrel Nut Zippers: What was I thinking when I added this to my playlist? It has a neat beat.
Criminal Minded by boogie down productions: What is this? Who is this? How did they get on my list?
GDFR by flo rida: I like the beat of this song but that's about it.
Honey, I'm Good by Andy Grammer: apparently, Spotify is not feeling my mood today lol. This is one song I do like and so do the kids.
Yeah Boy by Kelsea Bellerini: I like a lot of her songs.
Problem by Ariana Grande: Does anyone not like her music? I love the beat, it makes me want to move and sing.
Chainsaw by the band perry: I like them and their music.
Even flow by Peral Jam: yup they are on the list too. Who doesn't know this song and love it?
Ya, I wasn't kidding when I said my playlist has a little bit of everything, although I am not sure how some of those songs got on the list. So strange!

Since the pandemic started and we are spending a lot more time at home music has been become a staple in our house. If I am not listening to music it's the news or an audiobook.
The kids know how to use Alexa so when I click on Spotify what is new for this week I get a whole bunch of weird music I haven't even heard of before based on what they have listened to.
Let's take a look at what is on that list for this week! The list is called discover weekly
Song 1) Vive Le Vent by Richard Huet, Sonia Bilodeau from the year 1986
Well, this song came out the year after I was born. I have never heard of this song or the people who sing it. What about you? I only listened to the first few seconds of this song and well I am guessing it is from the kids playing Christmas music lol.
Song 2) Jingle Jangle by Dimitri
Look at that another Christmas song, but this time it's a RAP one lol. I only listened to a few seconds of it but from what I can tell it's a version of Jingle Bells.
Song 3) Even a Miracle Needs a hand by Sonntag 1974
It took me a minute to figure out what kind of song it was. It would seem to be a Christmas song.
Song 4) Feliz Chanukah by Six13
It is....You guessed another Christmas song lol. I listened to the first few minutes and I know the beat but I have no idea what they are saying.
Song 5) Voici Le Pere Noel by Les Classels
COME ON!!! AT least it could be in English lol
Song 6) Angels Among Us by Alabama
Now, this isn't really a Christmas song. It's an old song and one I grew up listening to. If you haven't listened to it please do. I am not a religious person but this song is touching.
Song 7) Good king wenceslaus by Clamavi De Profundis
At least this Christmas song is in a language that I can understand and actually has a good beat and I love the vocals.
Song 8) Jingle Jangle by Rehya Stevens
Well if you didn't know there are two songs with the same title, there are. They couldn't be more different than apples and oranges.
Song 9) Raise The Woof! by Trails.com
WHAT THE HECK DID I JUST LISTEN TOO! It caused Tessa to have a complete barking fit. At least it isn't Christmas?
Song 10) O Come, All Ye Faithful by Eva Cassidy
Oh look there it is CHRISTMAS. She has a very pretty voice and this one song I can't listen to without singing.
Well, I think the girls need a bit better taste in music lol.
It is fun though to see what comes up when they play with it all month :)

Marching to the beat of my own drummer: Spotify Shuffle
Music touches my soul. Each song for a different reason. I love music from all across the board from classical to rap, from metal to country and each for a different reason.
Spotify is my favourite music app. I pay for mine so I can save music and set my phone to offline mode and it doesn't use my data and I can skip as many songs as I want to. Also both my Alexa and Google can use it.
I put on "Your top songs 2019" which is an assortment of songs.
1) Made you miss by maddie poppe Watch the video here
-- This has a great beat and I love the lyrics to it. It makes me move and sing!
2) Born this way By Lady Gaga Find info on it here
--This is an up beat song! Dancing and moving, singing and feeling great!
3) A man like you by Emelie Torstensson Watch the videohere
--I just like the lyrics to this song
4) Country Girl by Luke Bryan Read the lyrics here
--I love his voice and this song makes me dance and move!
5) Hot Mama by Trace Adkins See the video here
--This song is great! makes every women feel beautiful just like she should
6) Tipsy by J-Kwon See the video here
--The only reason I like this song is because of the beat. I used a lot of upbeat music when I ran. I also use it when I work out.
7) Can't let you go by Fabolous Read about it here
--I love the lyrics to this song as well as the beat. Yes to most they just hear normal "rap" lyrics but to me I hear a love song.
8) Revenge by Pink and Eminem Read the lyrics here
--The beat of this song is awesome and I just love Pink
9) If it ain't with you by Farewell Angelina See the video here
-- Love Song need I say more!
10) Crank That by Soulja Boy Listen to it here
--I like that it is upbeat, but it would seen he is trying to create a dance crazy.
If you haven't noticed my list of music is all over the place and that makes me happy. Depending on my mood I will just let my lists play. But if I can always skip a song when I don't want to hear it.
When I am going homeschool with the kids or writing I tend to listen to a Classical only play list that I found on spotify its called Classical Study Music.
I find it helps me focus and it cleans my soul. Yes I know each artist who created the music has their own reasoning behind it but with classical you can take it in however you are feeling in that moment.
What is you go to music? Why?

Spotify random!
Today I picked Daily mix for you
Blue Ain't Your Color by Keith Urban
I don't even know where I first heard this song, but I do like it. I like most things by Keith Urban
Vice by Miranda Lambert
I love her music, I know the words to almost all of her songs. Its just the kind of music you can belt out no matter what your mood
Yeah Boy by Kelsea Ballerini
There is actually a funny story with this song. I only caught part of it on 107.1 I missed the title and the artist and their website wasn't working right for recently played. I messaged the radio station with only a couple of the lyrics and about the time it was played. The only lyrics I remember was make the moon jealous and google was no help. A few hours later I was shocked when the radio station replied to me!!! I had never heard of this artist before or the song. But I love it!
I love the way you love me by John Michael Montgomery
His music breaks my break. I LOVE it I know that sounds horrible but its something about his voice, the way he sings and the songs he picks to sing!
Well apparently my spotify has decided that today I need to listen to country only. not sure if thats a good or bad thing lol.
Strawberry Wine by Deana Carter
This song is from my childhood and my mom. Its a great song still today
Girl by Maren Morris
This song lyrics speak me. It is me.
OMG of course this one
Honky Tonk Badonkadonk by Trace Adkins
This is just a funny song. I love this artist too.
Bless the broken road by Rascal Flatts

Things have changed in a year, I now pay for my spotify because I changed plans with rogers and also I went with the family spotify plan. You can have it on a few devices instead of just one.
I am still all over the place music that I LOVE!! I doubt that will ever change because my mood dictates what music I want to listen to. I don't get to listen to as much music as I would like as my son has my phone 90% of the time in the car so I listen to A LOT of CBC on the upside, I am pretty up to date on everything going on in the world. At this point and time I am not sure if that is a good or bad thing.
I pretty much put everything into 2 play lists on my spotify and I call them liked from radio 1 and liked from radio 2, once those two lists are full I will use liked radio 3 original right? I have them
both set to download so I can listen to them while in offline load which mean it isn't using my data.
I choose the playlist Your Summer Rewind that spotify made for me from all my music.
1) Barely Breathing by Duncan Sheik: This brings me back to my Dawson Creek days, I am not sure but it is what I think about whenever I hear this song. Its a good song, I have no idea what happened to the band, but it was likely a one hit wonder.
2) 1979 by the the Smashing Pumpkins: I can't even think of what this song reminds me of lol, but I do like it.
3) Only Prettier by Miranda Lambert, man I LOVE anything by her, no joke. Something about her music, you can sing right along and the lyrics are so true in many of them.
4) Spiders by System of a Down: Oh high school! and the bands that came from those years. I Love system of the down and can sing most of their songs. The beat is awesome!
5) Hard Knock Life by Jay Z: I like music that has the change in vocals like this one, and I like the beats of most rap music. This is from my grade 7/8 days. This is a head bob song.
6) Violent Pornography by System of a Down: This song, I happened across this song while looking for system of a down songs this song makes me laugh and likely not ideal for most children but meh to each there own.
7) Set Fire to the Rain by Adele: This song is an amazing break up song and another artist who creates great music to sing along to.
8) Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden: oh the good old public school dance days, when things were so much simpler.
9) Radioactive by Imagine Dragons: The beat to this song is pretty cool so is the lyrics.
10) I'll make Love to you: Boyz II Men: of course this song has to come on, I was listening to the CBC today and a comedian was on talking about boys II men it was too funny. Again this song brings me back to the school dance says and the "romance" that was as simple as dedicating a song to the one you liked.
Once again my playlist has yet to fail many, many songs from different artists and genres its awesome!!!
What's on your playlist?

Music, there's not much I can say about it that hasn't been said before I love it! everything from classical to metal, each song I listen to means something different to me, provokes different feelings or brings back a different memory.
With my Rogers plan I get this app called Spotify its really cool I can listen to music anywhere, anytime right from my phone. As a paid for user I can use it in what is called "offline mode" This allows me to use it without using my data.
I am a strange one, most people have a different play list for every type of music they listen to, me on the other hand well I have one for teach cardio kickboxing and one for EVERYTHING else. If I am not in the mood for the song that comes on I just press next.
"My liked from the radio" list contains 350 songs on it currently
Song One: Mambo No. 5 by Lou Bega
Oh man this song reminds me of the days when I used to go to dances and such as a kid. It makes me want to move and dance! I love this song for cleaning, keeps me moving and upbeat
Song Two: Missing by everything but the girl
This song reminds me of being really young and my mom listening to really loud music. Its a song I can sing and again its upbeat tune keeps me moving while I clean.
Song Three: Buddy Holly by Weezer
Well hello younger days, I can sing this one as well and its upbeat you just want to move.
Song Four: Young, Wild and Free by snoop dog, wiz khalifa and bruno mars
This is a head bob song, I can sing the chours lol. Yes I know a huge difference but I love this song too.
Song Five: Hail Mary by 2pac
This song takes me back to grade 8/9. I love the beat and of course who doesn't love what 2pac has to say?
Song Six: Take a Little Ride by Jason Aldean
Yes I know its horrible, I am a country fan. One OMG isn't he a beautiful piece of eye candy?
Song Seven: Big Poppa by The Notorious B.I.G
Wouldn't you just hate to ride in the car with me? Again awesome beat.
Song Eight: Hypnotize by The Notorious B.I.G
This one makes we want to dance and move, oh the freak dancing days.
Song Nine: You'll Think of Me by Keith Urban
Country again, I know, I know! This song right now kind of bothers me. I love it but the words right now touch me more than they normally would.
Song Ten: No Diggity by Blackstreet
Another move your body song.
Well its officially out there I am a music weirdo. I grew up with a mom who was into country and some 80s dance. A father who loved Steve Earl and AC/DC. A step dad who listened to Metal and rock from the 70s/80s and of course I grew up in the age of dance, hip/hop, RAP, R&B and grunge so I got a taste of it all and I good with that. I have loved classical since I was very young and no idea where that comes from.
Whats on your play list?
