C & K Custom Cakes (It is a business a friend and I created) did our first mom to mom sale. It was a lot of work to get everything ready for it plus we had cake orders and a 70 mini cupcake order all for the same weekend. We were there from 7am until 3pm and we had a blast, Krista and I were so busy we hardly had time to think. We met a lot of wonderful people and had a lot of great feed back from our products.
Our sign and business cards were made by Tom and his crew at Sure Signs in Sarnia he is awesome and I wouldn't go anywhere else.
We had a lot of fun doing this event and can't wait to do the next one!!!

First communion cake
This was a very last minute cake order on an already busy weekend. It is not what I would say is my best icing work but for the short notice I think it turned out very pretty.

Mothers Day 2013: Owen update!!
I know this is delayed, but the week before and Mothers Day itself is one of 2 "holidays" that are very hard for me.
This year I kept myself busy, was an emotional basket case as normal and got to spend BirthdayMothers Day (The Saturday before Mothers Day) with my niece Keira.
Mothers Day Richard, Keira and I went out for breakfast and then we took Keira to her moms. We had lunch with Richards dad and I spent the rest of the day puttering around the house.
I text messaged Owen's adoptive mom on Mothers Day as always, we wish each other happy Mothers Day and she gives me a quick update on Owen. He is doing awesome and is getting so big. He starts school in September and is so excited about it. He is 3.5 years old. He can count, sing his ABC's, read small words such as mom, door, dad, etc. He can print his name without help, most of his ABC's and some of his numbers. His adoptive mom says she feels bad for his teachers because he will correct you when you are wrong.
Owen has always been smart and loves to learn its amazing how much of a love for life he has. They are planning on going to Greece again this summer for a couple weeks last time he was there he was 6 months old. Time sure flies!
I will upload a picture once I have a new one.
